The Rose Murray documentary project, initiated in 2006, was originally conceived to accompany the British photographer's international gallery exhibits. This film was the follow-up to Bendahan's first film effort as a producer, writer and sound recordist for "Open Borders" (L' Histoire du Opera Mosset) a promotional documentary filmed in France in 2004. "Rose Murray: Portrait of a Photographer" had its world premier at the St. Barth's Film Festival-Cinèma Caraïbe , it was selected for the Trinidad Film Festival, then showed at DocLeipzig in Germany and won first place for documentary short at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
