Beginning in the 1960's and continuing through the mid-70s, Rose Murray captured the soul and spirit of Majesty Gardens, a seldom seen part of Kingston, Jamaica referred to as "Shantytown." Rose was able to document the inherent beauty of that neighborhood in black and white photographs which are deeply moving.

"Rose Murray: Portrait of a Photographer" had it's USA premiere at the Rhode Island International Film Festival August 10-15th 2010. We won FIRST PLACE for best documentary short.
