Beginning in the 1960's and continuing through the mid-70s, Rose Murray captured the soul and spirit of Majesty Gardens, a seldom seen part of Kingston, Jamaica referred to as "Shanty-town." Rose was able to document the inherent beauty of that neighborhood in black and white photographs which are deeply moving.
Rose Murray at age 80 years of age, reflects on the passions which drove her life's work with her unstaged images of the faces and families of the residents on the streets of the Shantytown.
Her current exhibit is being held in Edinburgh, England.
